What are engagement photo sessions for?

Most people want them for Save the Date cards, photos for the New York Times, prints to use on their wedding day.

For a photographer, an engagement session is a fantastic way to get comfortable with a client (as well as for them to grow comfortable with you!).  You can learn a lot about a person.  How they photograph.  Their ease in front of the camera.  All those key things that help making photographing a couple on their actual wedding day all the more personable, fun and easy.

For the 2012 season, Hudson River Photographer will start to carry a new product – Save the Date Cards.

Our cards are printed on Premium 100% Cotton or Premium Bamboo paper in an effort to stay green.  You will have a choice of designs – front and back printing – with or without an envelope and with or without return address printing on the envelope.   Cards are ordered in sets of 25.  If you order 150+ cards, the first 25 cards are free of charge as our gift to you.
