Cynthia + Dana { Engagement Session ~ Albany, NY } Same Sex Wedding Photography

Engagements are a meaningful event. After all, you’re saying yes to someone you plan on spending the rest of your life with. It is quite an affirmation of love.

Folks in the gay and lesbian community have been saying “I do” for years. Only now, with New York State’s historic law, becoming the sixth and largest state in the union to legalize same sex marriage, saying “I do” for gay New Yorkers has become a legally recognized moment. Finally, marriage equality has arrived… at least… big apple style.

I met Cynthia + Dana on the steps of the New York State capital building where Cynthia and Dana fought for and then celebrated the passage of marriage equality. Meeting with them was a delight. They are engaging, fun and make what I like to call connection sessions a blast to do. I’m looking forward to photographing their now legal wedding in Brooklyn, NY early this fall.
